UPDATE 22 July 1600: Tide Prudhoe Island 26/07/22 3.7M @ 0921
Beverly Group out of Grasstree 130km return run. Forecast Tuesday 26th July 5knots South turning East at 1500hrs. Tide is 4.68M at 0943 Hay Point. First time for me out too this area. Times and speed are only a estimated scenario for planning a run a bit like the forecast ? Gives a foundation to work with not necessarily stick to.
Estimate depart ramp 0700. Tide running south our run is basically east. Side on to tide against a forecast 5k south wind shouldn’t be bad.
Cullen Islet 20klm 30 minutes at 40kph arrive 0730. The first 20km is barely over 10M in depth. Be interesting ? Possible landing beach south west corner ?
Knight Island 42km about 60 minutes arrive 0800. This leg has a couple of shoals about half way across. Viscount Shoals. Several sandy bays predominately western side and a couple of small ones on the east.
Minster Island 55km about 75 minutes arrive 0815. All the bays look stony/rocky.
Digby Island 65km about 90 minutes arrive 0830. Has 3 sandy bays. The other islands will be worth a visit. We could make our back using the south west side of the islands conditions pending. This scenario has a hour buffer to hide tide so how we use or manipulate the scenario can be decided on the day.
The Beverly Group seems to consist of 10 Islands.
