Access to several unspoken of Islands in close and not so close world renown (to yachties) the Percy Islands, Middle Island about 85klms.
Not the friendliest boat ramp around and one that myself as a novice solo skier would stay away from. Images taken 26 July 2020 at low tide 1.27m (Hay Pt). Low tide not as pretty but shows channel well, tidal creek access an issue to be worked around.
Ramp seems tidal and uninviting, anchor in the mud and a bit of walk in it. Maybe tie up to the mangroves when more water there ? Be lot easier for a couple.
Carmila about 5klms to Bruce Hwy has full 24hr Service Station all fuels, toilets, bait and food takeaway or dining. Caravan park with cabins, Electrical Recharge Terminal for electric cars. There is also some nice camps to be found.
