Update 31May 830am Saturday 1 June is the day unless unless forecast does a back flip this afternoon. FUEL to carry enough fuel for 220klms DOES NOT cut it. We all need to carry a safety buffer. To arrive back at ramp with a pissy 5lts is cutting to fine. To run out of fuel effects the group there is no I in group. It would have to be amongst the worst things to do and so simple to avoid by carring above calculation. 7am the boat ramp Hay Pt probably should of been earlier to beat the rush every man and his dog will be out. I will be there around 6 sorting myself out so try and be early rather than late. If there is anything you uncertain about contact us and will try and help out if can. We have a 4.5M tide falling till around 1pm so most of our day. Tide flow for this area is good (slowish) Guessing arriving back at ramp 230 – 3. The following is what the forecast was offering this morning for Saturday in the time we be in that vacinity.

Update 30May 9pm Looking like Saturday at present Sunday seems to of turned crappy Decision tomorrow after lunch. Will post then hopefully.
Update 26 May 8pm Forecaste has moved to Sunday with light freat after 1pm that could be not so bad. It will mean some rethink for ramp retreaval just a little later or just dont ride on to trailers. It would be nice to visit Curlew especially those that havent and the bluff Island most worthwhile visit. The northern end that it is named after i havent seen yet but the the column southern end too. This image taken tonight. I suggest on leaving Percy we take a heading for Bluff if conditions are allowing. Should sea chop up abort and head for Digby (less tIde run) for some reason curlew shares tide intensity as Stanage & Broadsound at times. Forecast after 1pm is Southerly 10knots and is only a small patch and runs not with but close to tide.

This Forecast on 25th Saturday night 7pm The worst of the day is 6knts. For 1st June this may swing fwd or aft so may end up Friday or Sunday just keep an eye on it.

Hay Pt is only realistic option. Thinking 7am at ramp ?

Hay Pt to Knight is a straight forward run with anchoring for a short break or just check the depth on the beach for a short while.

Whilst on Knight take note the southern end. Shouldnt be a problem on our way out but worth being a aware on return if we near there. Thats in Meters.

Not suggesting we sprout wings its just a rough idea. Digby is a nice island not sure well access beach on return but should on way out. Even if only to check the depth. Clean run at it watchfull around Islands as usual.

This leg Digby – Percy clear untill closing Percy. Notice the the tide flow in this area E – W on a ebb.

This rock has Duanes name on it Hildebrand Rock. Thinking we hit the northern end Howard Pt and run down to A frame.

Now the tides arent great timing so doubt we get into lagoon falling tide all way out and rising on return

This low may be a bit muddy at this time.

After 230pm should be safe enough to get out at that ramp. We could look at Grasstree ramp but dont think 4klms shorter trip or 8 overall is worth it.

This trip is going to be in the 220klm area. I will have 100lts on board this will give me 250klms about 15% buffer. We may need to stay around 50kph mark for fuel cunsumption ? I will update any thoughts / ideas. any updates will go at the top dated.
