Sarina Inlet

Has a few ramp options, 2 concrete and a natural (4WD). Set in a large inlet that can dry out at low tide with exception to channels.

On the Point close to sea (Perpetua).

Surrounded by rock with no jetty making for difficult solo launching. This ramp might be OK if you have a second person to park up the trailer. Without a jetty and a rock bottom, the ski cant be left unattended. This ramp is easily exposed to the conditions.

Perpetua Point
2nd ramp a few hundred meters inside the inlet, Johnsons Beach background.

This ramp 200m further in around the point is a friendlier launching but small rock and stone bottom surround it. No docking facilities.

This stepped shoulder a bit different, only on the one side.

Rings placed in a couple of locations along ramp, may be helpful in a favourable wind ? Also found a couple on the outer ramp.

Natural ramp

Natural ramp on firm ground for driving on (2WD may do the job ?). Has several 4WD retrieval points around this little cove. Located just back down the road from the ramps. Certain tide levels (higher) solo riders could take advantage of tying up to the mangroves.

Natural ramp at low tide

Beach anchoring could be acceptable at this tide level. There is a old concrete strip a 4WD might be successful for retrieval.

Sarina Beach servo located at turn off to ramps.

Full service station with bait and ice, not sure about hours of business. There is a bar at a motel the northern end of beach, suspect a take away licence?

Looking across to Salisbury Point & Johnsons Beach

Not sure Sarina Inlet can be used by a solo skier unless favourable tide. There is a tyre trick I have witnessed, that has its own small problems (another blog).
